It Was Close But…

Owners become rather tense when their runner is involved in a close finish – unless they own both contenders.

Borrowdale Park stalwart, Craig Danckwerts, was in that happy place on Saturday when Tigers Eagle (Swanson/Syster) and Action Zone (Mason/De Gouveia) clashed in the 2000m MR 84 Handicap. Tigers Eagle won by half-a-length, Zazu was third, then Qunetra, and Coffeeberry.

Tigers Eagle, a five-year-old mare by Flying The Flag (IRE) has now won six races and she was bred by Wilgerbosdrift & Mauritzfontein.

Congratulations to the winning connections.
