King’s Crown, with Kevin Derere riding, won the fourth race at Borrowdale on Friday, the 1450m MR 78 Handicap.  Then came The Octagon (Mxoli) and September Flower (Nhlapo).

King’s Crown is owned by Messrs P D Gorringe, S P Gorringe, V Patel, and D K Ward, and the 5-time winner is trained by Debra Swanson.

This group of owners had previously won the first race on the Borrowdale Park card, the 1450m Maiden Plate, with Ultra Pursuit (Syster). This was the Skit Sizzle gelding’s first start, and he was bred by Bosworth Farm Stud.
