The Skitt Skizzle gelding Ultra Pursuit won the Zimbabwe 2000 (GR3) – second leg of Zimbabwe’s 2026 Triple Crown – at Borrowdale Park on Friday the 27th of March.

Debra Swanson’s Charge won the Zimbabwe Guineas (first leg of the Triple Crown) in February and on both occasions stable companion Robin Of Locksley came second. Diego de Gouveia rode the winner on Friday, who is owned by Messrs PD Gorringe, SP Gorringe, V Patel, and DK Ward. The Successful breeders were Bosworth Farm Stud. Congratulations to all the winning connections.

The third leg of the Triple Crown is the Zimbabwe Derby to be run over 2400m – a real test of speed and stamina. You can imagine the question everyone is asking now.
