Dave Rosser accepted the Ipi Tombe Stakes trophy on behalf of the owners, who couldn’t be there. The winner, Principled Man, is owned by Messrs G. Goksel and T. J. Shawe and Mrs J.L. Paterson.

Louise Moor did the honours. Her husband, Peter Moor, bred Ipi Tombe at Golden Acres Stud in Zimbabwe.
