Magnificent Mile, starting price 14/10, won the 1600m Maiden Plate, third race at Borrowdale on Sunday. The Ashaawes (USA) gelding is out of a Nissr (USA) mare and was bred by Geoff Armitage.
This was Gokhan Terzi’s first winner that afternoon – he later scored with Eurakilon in the Breeders Champion Cup (L) and shared training honours with Kirk Swanson who also saddled two winners on Sunday.
This was Magnificent Mile’s seventh start, having previously placed four times. He was ridden by JP van der Merwe and is owned by Mr S. Armstrong.
