Noble Peer, a son of Miesque’s Approval, and owned by Penny and Ken Fisher, as well as Alistair and Natalie Fisher, narrowly beat his stable mate, Red Savage, in a thrilling finish to the 1600m Graduation Plate.
To add to the excitement for that one race Adrian Nydam was back in the commentary box calling them home.
Of course Penny Fisher was the winning trainer and Raymond Danielson was aboard Noble Peer. This was the five-year-old gelding’s second start in Harare – and anyone who watched the first one would have known he was a big runner here. Noble Peer was bred by George Rowles.
