Rock The Country, with Hennie Greyling up, came with a determined and spectacular run up the outside to catch Mathematician, folllowed by Windigo, a stride from the finish.
By Western Winter (USA) out of a Northern Guest (USA) mare, the seven-year-old gelding is owned by Gengiz Goksel, trained by Gokhan Terzi, and this was his sixth win. He was bred by Hallmark Thoroughbreds.
Mathematician (second) is trained by Bridget Stidolph and was ridden by Brendon McNaughton. Windigo was sent out by Kirk Swanson and Keangon de Melo had the ride.
