Francois Herholdt, who will be aboard Windigo in the OK Grand Challenge at Borrowdale Park on Saturday has won the OK twice so far.. He previously scored on the Brian Muscutt trained Mzilikazi in 1998, and on Ginepri for Seb d’Aquino in 2013.
Kirk Swanson, who trains Windigo, won this race with Gold Flame in 2004.
Lance Pagel, who rides Eurakilon on Saturday, won on Weston Point for Gavin Macleod in 2006.
Amy Bronkhorst won with Equina (Karl Zechner) in 2014, Chase Maujean has this ride in 2016.
In 2003 Guns for Hire (Dewi Williams) and Shadow Dancer (Martin Ball) dead-heated, and the winners were trained by Penny Fisher and Noeleen Peech respectively. Penny will saddle Lava Flow and Call Me Earl this time.
