The Seventh Rock (AUS) filly, Belle Epoque, made it two in a row when winning the 1200m MR 65 Handicap at Borrowdale on Sunday. She was followed by Princeton Tiger, Cool Solution and Aquaba. The fancied Uptown Gal and Romantic Balladeer, finished fifth and sixth.
Belle Epoque is trained by Gokhan Terzi and Juan Paul van der Merwe was in the irons. The four-year-old filly, now a three-time winner, is owned by Christopher Peech and was bred by Rumbavu Park Stud. The winning margin was 4.75 lengths, starting price 9/2.
