Heir Line, under a brave ride from Keagan de Melo, went wide, found the front, and held on to win the $60 000 Republic Cup at Borrowdale Park this afternoon.

Simona ran on gamely from the back of the field but couldn’t catch the four-year-old son of Dynasty. Bush Pilot and Master Switch finished third and fourth.
