I’ve been meaning to ask if you’d like to see the Order of Service for Mrs. Berie’s funeral. It has a couple of the many poems she wrote, but I don’t think that many of the current members of the racing community would have known her. The only racing people there were Kevin O’Connor and me ! However I was VERY impressed that the flags at the last race meeting were flying at half mast to respect her. Betina told me that it was Mushangwa’s instruction.
The other notable event at the last race meeting was Kamal Khalfan and his wife and two children being seated in the Members enclosure of the main grand stand. I chatted to them, and learnt that they had brought their children to have a very active, run-around Sunday afternoon! GREAT, isn’t it? The committee members were also astounded !!
See you one day, I hope!
