The Gokhan Terzi-trained Eurakilon established himself as a serious Castle Tankard contender when winning the 1600m Independene Trophy at Borrowdale Park on Sunday. He was followed across the line by the three-year-old Call Me Earl (Wow!), Lucky Sam and Print The Pounds.
The son of Classic Flag is out of a Western Winter (USA) mare and was bred byMessrs B.H. and Arne J. Botha and Mrs M.E. Botha. Regular jockey Lance Pagel was in the irons.
Eurakilon is owned by Gengiz Goksel, Grant Littleford, Paul Rugg and Spencer Murray. The six-year-old gelding is now a seven-time winner.
