Former Triple Crown winner Madigan gave the 1800m MR 80 field a galloping lesson, sneaking up along the inside rail and going on to win by four lengths,carrying top weight of 60,5 kgs.
His stablemate Supa Challenge, followed by Lava Flow and Red Savage, brought up the rear.
Madigan, now an 11-time winner, is trained by Kirk Swanson and was ridden by Sherman Brown on Sunday. The Joshua Dancer (USA) gelding, aged seven, is owned by John Koumides.
Perfect Grace dislodged his jockey at the start of Borrowdale Park’s main race and ran the race without him.
