Road To Dubai won the $13 000 HRIB Gold Cup at Borrowdale Park on Saturday for the second time.
By The Sheik and bred by Scott Bros, Road to Dubai won this race in 2015, and won the Spey Bridge Award for Champion Sprinter in the 2015/16 season.
The five-year-old gelding is owned by John Koumides and trained by Kirk Swanson. Keagan de Melo was in the irons and this trio had a good day on Saturday having scored earlier with Baumgartner.
Road To Dubai won by 2.50 lengths. The Gokhan Terzi trained Newton Power ran second and Sheik’s Brashee, also by The Sheik came third. Comanche Brave filled the fourth spot.
Congratulation to the winning connections – and thanks to HRIB for their continued sponsorship.
